In 2016, the idea of improving literacy skills in English, French, and minority languages such as Ukrainian began with the enterprise Natadity, which provided educational shows and workshops in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Gatineau.
Each show and workshop was adapted for children between the ages of 2.5 and 12 and was designed to spark their curiosity and foster a love of storytelling and books.
In 2021, the first product — the ABC Compact Kit — was created for children aged 3–5, featuring illustrations by Juriy, a cartoonist and artist based in Kyiv at the time.
In 2022, when the war in Ukraine began, Natadity redirected its resources to support newcomer children and parents by offering free literacy programs in English and French.
In 2024, Natadity changed its name to HiBilingue and became a registered nonprofit organization.
In 2025, HiBilingue achieved charitable status and now provides tax receipts to its donors.
